There is now a completely new way to enjoy India. A way that lets you experience the hustle and bustle of India and then lets you retire to a place of peace and quiet. A place where you can relax, talk about the days highlights and plan your next activities. And while the sound of the waves gently soothe you, you will be taken on to your next port of call.
Kondo Syokai Leisure India is the first company to offer "Yacht Based Tourism". Using the Companies own yachts - Gazelles built by the Company in its own boatyard - guests can now enjoy time in India in a new and exciting way.

There are many ports of call along the coast of Kerala, and many locations are only accessible from the sea. For a visit to some of these overnight accomodation on the yachts is essential. However many of the best hotels are directly or very easily accessible from the water such as Bolgatty Palace, Taj Malabar, Casino, Hotel Samudra and Hotel Chaithram. And so, by combining both yacht based and shore based accomodations, guests can have a truely unique and pleasurable experience - staying in the best hotels India has to offer and yet gaining access to otherwise difficult locations. And of course the yacht offers the ultimate escape from the hectic life on the land after a busy day site-seeing

A detailed itinerary will be posted during 2004.
Another first from Kondo Syokai. Enjoy the thrill of exploring the vast Kerala backwaters by yacht. Only the Kondo Syokai Gazelles can do this - with their long flat 1-1/4" thick steel keels, and drawing only 3' 10" of water, these yachts can carry six people in comfort and still get into the tightest of corners. Each yacht is staffed by 2 crew but guests are most welcome to sail the yachts themselves under the guidance of the crew who will instruct as required. There has never been a more exciting way to explore Kerala's vast backwater complex of lakes, rivers and canals.
Each Gazelle is managed by 2 crew and can accommodate 6 sleeping guests. The Gazelles offer simple and clean accomodations - totally in keeping with the "purity" of the experience. They are junk rigged vessels making for easy sailing and so guests will have the opportunity to experience hands on sailing under the supervision of the crew.
