The MYC has received the first of several ocean schooners for use by the club. Her name is ROSA and she is a Tom Colvin GAZELLE built by the Kondo Syokai Boatyard. This week (17th October) ROSA had her first run under sail. This was a preliminary to full sea trials due to start 30th October. In charge of activities is Skipper Paul Evans, RYA Yachtmaster with MCA commercial endorsement.
There are still parts of the rigging to be completed, but even so the pictures are well worth a look at. So for those lovers of GAZELLE - enjoy!
The MYC Club House is a new building completed at the start of 2005. There are 4 good sized guest rooms - each with a/c and on-suite facilities. The top floor restaurant has superb uninterupted panoramic views looking out across the backwaters. Farm fresh food is available and is prepared to order by our own cooks.
